Carrying the legacy of being one of the oldest clubs, Rotaract Club of Coimbatore Institute of Technology well known as RaC CIT was evoked in the year 1977 with the help of Rtn. P. R. Ramakrishnan, Founder of Coimbatore Institute of Technology and District Governor(1997) with the motto “Self development and Fellowship through Service”. The Club was chartered on 14th January 1977 with Charter President Rtr. PP. Shyam Sundar supported by its Parent Club, Rotary Club of Coimbatore East.

ROTARY INTERNATIONAL 3201
RID 3201 is a Rotary sponsored Community Organization formed in July 2008 which covers few regions of the Southern Indian States of Tamil Nadu and Kerala. Efficiently functioning in the revenue districts of Coimbatore, Kochi, Idukki, Palakkad and Thrissur, the District consists of 87 active Clubs and the count is still rising! 3201 is strong and sound with 2,300 vibrant, enthusiastic young Rotaractors. Rotaract 3201 has become a wide platform to various youngsters to improve their skills and become the future leaders and entrepreneurs, also achieving their ultimate goals of serving the society with humanity.

O God! Our Almighty Father and ruler of the Universe. We thank thee for the inspiration you have Given us for the Rotaract Movement based upon Service to Mankind. We humbly beg you to continue Thy grace to enable us to do our service, to ourselves and to our neighbours and to the honour and glory of Thy holy name.
